Eleanore Diedrick, 84, a resident of Moline, Illinois and formerly of Mesa, Arizona died Monday, August 2, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline after a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, Iowa. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, East Moline, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf where a wake service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
She was born June 4, 1920 in LaSalle, Illinois, the daughter of Edward & Cecelia (Lipinski) Ossowski. On November 25, 1943, she was united in marriage to Delmar H. Diedrick in LaSalle.
Eleanore was employed as a floral designer & assistant manager of Knee’s Flowers in Moline for over 20 years.
Her devout faith was always an important part of her life and she celebrated mass daily.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband of over 60 years, Delmar; her daughters & son-in-law, Marcia & Dick Johnson and Jan Davis, all of Bettendorf; her son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Linda Diedrick of Galena, Illinois; her grandchildren, Valerie Mayo of Moline, Melissa Schade of Davenport, Laurie Schade of Bettendorf and Mark Diedrick & his wife, Kristen of Prescott, Arizona; her sisters, Cecil Donnelly of Peru, Illinois and Clara Wyszynski of LaSalle, Illinois; and her brothers & sisters-in-law, Floyd & Aileen Ossowski of Sun City, Arizona and Chet & Julie Ossowski of Sun City West, Arizona.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jim Davis; her sisters, Marie Liss, Gert Wieczorek and Jean Klansek; and her brothers, Edward Ossowski and Walter Ossowski.
