Elva L. Reistroffer, 88, a resident of Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley, Iowa and formerly of rural Princeton, Iowa died on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the nursing home.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Burial will be in McCausland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverview Manor or to the McCausland Volunteer Fire Department.
She was born October 21, 1921 in Gambril, Iowa the daughter of William & Lillie (Holst) Reistroffer.
Elva lived and farmed most of her life on the family farm in Butler Township.
Among the things she enjoyed were playing cards with her friends, bingo and attending bowling leagues with her brother where she loved keeping score.
Those left to honor her memory include many cousins.
