Emmajean (“Peaches”) R. Rinehart, 54, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the Rock Church of the Quad-Cities 4730 Tremont Ave. in Davenport, where she was a member. Memorials may be made to the church.
Emmajean was born September 5, 1954, in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Martin and Lena (Werlinger) Gable. She was one of 18 brothers and sisters. On May 14, 1981, she was united in marriage to Ronald Rinehart in Davenport.
Emmajean was employed as a project manager for Unisource Management Corporation. She enjoyed shopping, especially at Sams Club and Wal-Mart, and spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored. Peaches cherished her Husband as they were inseparable. They are best friends and never left each others side. As for her sons, she couldn’t have been more proud. You could never have a conversation with Peaches as she always had a wonderful story to tell about them. Peaches would always make you laugh, didn’t matter the situation, she had a way of making light of a dark situation and always had the best advice to give. As for her grandchildren, she couldn’t spend enough time with them. As she would always say “they are therapeutic to her”. She called Jessica “Her Jessi” as well as “Her Spitfire” as Jessica was not afraid to challenge anyone when it came to Peaches. Her family will love and miss her always. She will always be with us.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ronald; her children, Dominique Rinehart, of Davenport, Christopher Mossett, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Derrick Biegler, of Rock Island, Illinois, Ronald and Jessica Rinehart Jr., of Davenport, and Randy Rinehart, of Springfield, Illinois; nine grandchildren; her mother, Lena; several brothers and sisters; and her extended family of the Rock Church of the Quad-Cities.
Her father and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
