Eugene A. Hanna, 93, of Rock Island, Illinois, formerly of Pleasant Valley, Iowa passed way on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
As per his wishes there will be no services. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Eugene was born April 22, 1917 in Pleasant Valley, Iowa the son of Henry and Lillian (Stewart) Hanna.
He served in the United States Air Force as a Corporal in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre until December 1945. He retired from Alcoa in 1975, and was employed at NorthPark Mall for several years.
Survivors include his daughters, Judith (Harold) McFarland, Missouri and Joanne (James) Gibson, Davenport, Iowa and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charles, his sister Mary Slaby and daughter Janet Beverlin. May they rest in peace.
