Eunice Johnson

Eunice D. Johnson, 75, a resident of Inglis, Florida passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born December 1, 1942 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Emma (Stoltenberg) Peters and was a 1961 graduate of North Scott High School in Eldridge.  In 1976, she was united in marriage to William Johnson.  He preceded her in death in 1995.

Eunice worked at Aetna Insurance, Johnson Electric Company and the Florida Power Company.  She enjoyed her pet dogs, her parrot, fishing, caring for her elderly friends and was a life-member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Those left to honor her memory include her siblings, Eldon (Marietta) Peters of Eldridge, Iowa, Evelyn (Earl) Gullion of Davenport; Emmy Lou (Bruce) Dexter of Princeton, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, her sister, Elaine (Reynold) Muhs preceded her in death.
