Eunice Jean Weaver, 80, a resident of Davenport, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Davenport Lutheran Home in Davenport.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Christ Church, 2330 W. 41st, Davenport. Burial will be at Overman Cemetery in Atalissa. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 2, 1937 in Muscatine, Iowa, Eunice was the daughter of Alan Mehrens and Evelyn Timm. She was married to James Fowler, he preceded her in death. She then married Bill Jensen; they later divorced. On August 20, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Herbert R. Weaver. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2014.
Eunice worked for several places around town over the years, most recently bartending, which she loved. Eunice loved to entertain; which always based around more food than anyone could possibly consume. Family was very important to Eunice. She was the one that would show up in a snow storm with a car full of food; helping any of her friends and family.
Those left to honor his memory include her children, Kimberly Dillon, Denise Jensen, Sherrie Manley, Marty Weaver, Kathy (Mike) Yaudas, Julie Parks, Lynne (Jon) Sawyer, all of Davenport; numerous grandchildren, including Shyanne (Kevin) Foreman, Meika Jensen and Isiah Werthmann, whom she was very close to; sisters, Darlene (Delbert) Grosvenor, Nancy (Jake) West, Penny Erps, and Sandy; brother, Darold (Arlene) Busch and Bobby (Millie) Erps.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers in infancy, Leslie and Walter Erps; and her hero, Grandma Timm.
