Eva Jugenheimer, 89, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa following a brief illness.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 13, 2012 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born October 22, 1922 in Bettendorf, the daughter of Charles & Katherine Dubil. On October 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Orville L. Jugenheimer in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1984.
Eva enjoyed caring for her garden, reading, doing crossword puzzles and cooking & baking for her family. She loved her family more than anything else in the world. She loved spending time with them celebrating every holiday, birthday and other special occasions together. Eva always put the needs of others first and was happiest when she was doing for others. She was strong & independent to the very end. Eva led by example and was loved & admired by all who knew her.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Susan (Joseph) Gizzarelli of Davenport; her son, Steve Jugenheimer of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Erika Gizzarelli of Bettendorf, Jordan Gizzarelli of Davenport and Jamie (Chris) Hansen of Ankeny, Iowa; her great-grandchildren, Suzy & Melody; her sisters, Rose Griffin, Helen (Jim) Glynn and Katie Holst, all of Bettendorf; her brother, Nick Dubil of Davenport; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and wonderful friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Korbelik and Mary Lieshner; and her brothers, John Dubil and Andrew Dubil.
