Evelyn F. Corson, 85, a former resident of LeClaire, Iowa died on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Montrose, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimser’s Disease Foundation.
She was born December 15, 1925 in Clayton County, Iowa the daughter of Willis & Rosa (Towsley) Lewin.
Evelyn was employed as a nursing assistant at the former St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport, Iowa for 17 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Frances Bogert of Bowling Green, Missouri and Pat (Milan) Marshall of Montrose, Iowa; her sons, Ronald Corson of St. Paul, Iowa, Frank Corson of DeWitt, Iowa, Gary Corson of Gardner, Kansas, Alan (Debbie) Corson of LeClaire, Iowa, Kenny (Kathy) Corson of LeClaire, Iowa and Steven Corson of LeClaire, Iowa; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her sons, Larry Corson in 1999 and Greg Corson in 1974; her great-granddaughter, Lauren Bogert; her son-in-law, James Bogert in 2010; four sisters; and four brothers.
