Fay E. Hutchison, 78, of Buffalo, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 14, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Friends Church, where Fay was a member.
Fay was born January 18, 1928 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, the daughter of Sherman David & Opal Minnie (Hayes) Phillips. She was united in marriage to George F. Hutchison on November 5, 1949 in Rock Island County, Illinois. He preceded her in death.
Fay enjoyed crocheting and the company of animals, especially dogs and cats. She was a committed member of her church and she enjoyed going to the Center for Active Seniors in Davenport.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Katherine Blew and her friend David Nix, of Buffalo, Marilyn Wolford and her husband, Chris, of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Vivian Moore and her husband, Randy, of Buffalo; her sons, DeWayne Hutchison, of Buffalo, Floyd Hutchison, and his wife, Linda Gaile, of Phoenix City, Alabama, Glen Hutchison, of Buffalo, Terry Hutchison, and his wife, Rhonda, of Buffalo, Michael Hutchison and his wife, Kerrie, of Davenport, and Gary Hutchison, and his wife, Deanna, of Ozark, Missouri; her step-sons, Bernie Hutchison, of Ava, Missouri, Wilburn Hutchison, and his wife, Louise, of Norwood, Missouri, Lee Hutchison, and his wife, Sharon, of Seymour, Iowa, Ron Hutchison, and his wife, Judy, of Ava, and Manuel Hutchison, and his wife, Sue, of Buffalo; 17 grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, George, she was preceded in death by her parents; her twin daughters; her step-son, Branford Hutchison; her grandson, Michael; her brother, Clarence; and her sisters, Elsie & Genevieve.
