Faye Scholey

Faye E. Scholey, 96, a resident of Galesburg, Illinois formerly of Davenport, Iowa died Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Seminary Manor, Galesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service Thursday. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Harbor Lights Hospice, Galesburg.
Faye was born May 1, 1916 in Iowa Falls, Iowa the daughter of Magnus and Rosellen (Atzbaugh) Smith. She was united in marriage to Weldon H. Scholey in Eldora, Iowa in 1934. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1992.
Faye was a member and treasurer of the Davenport Tops.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Keith (Jeanie) Scholey, Galesburg; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Weldon she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Galbraith; her sons, David, Roger and Jerry Scholey; her two sisters and her four brothers.
