Fern R. Schlotfeldt, 64, of Davenport, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home after an extended illness.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be private and burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Fern was born July 30, 1947 in Wheatland, Iowa, the daughter of Erich & Pauline (Wagner) Strackbein. She was a graduate of Wheatland High School.
Fern was united in marriage to Robert Schlotfeldt on August 3, 1968 in Wheatland. She was employed for seventeen years at Pinnacle Stanrick in Rock Island, Illinois.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and growing flowers. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Robert; her daughter, Jessica Corry (Jay); her sons, Christopher Schlotfeldt (Lori) and Jeffrey Schlotfeldt (Kate); and her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria & Robert Kuehl, all of Davenport; her niece, Dawn (Tommy) Pickett of Blue Grass, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Michael, Nathaniel, Matthew and Lindsey.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents.
