Frieda I. Fredricks, 90, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Good Samaritan Center, Davenport.
There will be no services or visitation. Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Center. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Frieda was born May 19, 1917 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Monroe & Anna (Huff) Reese. She was united in marriage to Edwin M. Fredricks on July 8, 1942 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1995.
Frieda retired in 1980 as a food supervisor at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility in Bettendorf. She had previously been employed as an office worker for several area firms.
Frieda had been a member of several bridge clubs. She enjoyed cooking and attending family gatherings.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and sons-in-law, Janice & Lance Erwin, of Burlington, Iowa and Connie & Louis Odgen, of Davenport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Edwin, she was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters.
