Fyrn Anna Koch, 96, of Bettendorf, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at Bickford Cottage in Davenport.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Friday, February 19, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Private burial will be held. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday. Memorials may be made to Quad City Area Salvation Army.
Fyrn was born on April 24, 1919 in Clinton, Iowa, the only child of John Frederick and Marie Dorothy (Paasch) Koch.
Fyrn was a graduate of St. Ambrose College, 1953. She taught elementary school for 44 years in Clinton County, Argo and LeClaire, Iowa, retiring in 1982 from Jefferson Elementary School in Davenport. Fyrn was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Bettendorf, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, Mississippi Bend Porcelain China Painters Club, and Davenport Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by loving caretakers and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
