Gabriel Almanza, 45, of Davenport, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport.
Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.
Gabriel was born February 11, 1971 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Bonifacio & Rosa (Aguilar) Almanza. He was united in marriage to Kristina Cox on February 25, 1994 in Davenport.
Gabriel had been a painter with John Deere, Davenport Works. He was a fan of the Steelers and the Illini and enjoyed the time spent with his family.
Those left to honor Gabriel’s memory include his wife, Kristina; his daughter, Beatriz Almanza; his sons, Antonio (Jennifer) and Nicholas Almanza, all of Davenport; his grandsons, Julius and Achilles; his parents, Bonifacio and Rosa Almanza of Davenport; his sisters, Veronica and Rachel Almanza and Adriana (Valentine) Voorhis; his brothers, Fernando (Carol) Almanza and Roberto (Maria) Almanza; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alexander; nephew, Isaiah and his grandparents.
