Garry William Wulf, 60, a resident of Blue Grass, Iowa died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport.
Private funeral services will be held with burial at Davenport Memorial Park. Rev. Christian H. Meyer will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Wulf, Gerry Wulf, Ron Peters, Darrell Engler, Dale DeCock, Richard DeCock, Robert DeCock and LeRoy Wulf. There will be no visitation. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Blue Grass Volunteer Fire Department, the Montpelier Volunteer Fire Department or to a favorite charity. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born December 30, 1942 in DeWitt, Iowa, the son of William J. “Bill” & Euphrasia (DeCock) Wulf and was a graduate of North Scott High School. On September 1, 1967, he was united in marriage to Susan K. Chamberlin at Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Garry owned & operated Wulf’s Disposal Co. of Blue Grass for the past 36 years. He was a former member of the Iowa National Guard.
Garry was dedicated to his work and was a genuine “people person.” His beloved family was the special joy in his life and he will always be fondly remembered by those who knew & loved him.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 36 years, Susan; his sons, Jeffrey William Wulf of Stockton, Iowa and John David Wulf of Maysville, Iowa; his grandson, Christopher William Wulf; his step-mother, Bernice Wulf of Eldridge; his special friends, Sherry, Brittany & Bridget Conklin; his parents-in-law, Donald & Agnes Chamberlin Sr. of Davenport; his brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Donald & Joann Chamberlin Jr. of Davenport; and his niece & nephews, Beth, Chad & Ryan Chamberlin.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1972 and his father in 2002.
