Gary Krogman

Gary John Krogman, 56, of Park View, Iowa, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at his home.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Long Grove. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15th and one hour prior to Mass on Saturday, at the church. Memorials may be made to the family to be distributed to various organizations. Chambers Funeral Home in Eldridge is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 23, 1961 in Clinton, Gary was the son of Kenneth and Teresa (McGuire) Krogman. On October 6, 1984 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Clinton, he was united in marriage to Laura Hilgendorf.

Gary most recently worked for Crawford Company in Rock Island as an HVAC Estimator. Previously, he worked for Schebler Heating and Air, and Air Control in Clinton. Gary enjoyed Jeep rides, golfing, football and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Gary also enjoyed woodworking and mowing the grass. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Laura; daughter, Sara (Shawn) Gerard of Park View; son, Eric (fiancé, Erin) Krogman of Eldridge; grandchildren, Emmarie and Jameson; siblings, Mary Kay (Roger) Long of LeClaire, Deb (Steve) Eickstaedt of Long Grove, Karen (Mark) Roode of Low Moor, Lori (Curt) Peters of Clinton and Tom Krogman of Clinton; many nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Don and Sharon Hilgendorf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lisa Kettler, Kevin (Lisa) Hilgendorf, Heather (Mark) Cooley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Wayne Kettler; and a nephew, Samuel Krogman.
