Gary G. Huettman

Gary G. Huettman, 59, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa died on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at his home surrounded by his beloved family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the New Life Community Church in LeClaire. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born September 21, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of John & Helen R. (Veach) Huettman and was a 1964 graduate of Bettendorf High School. He & his wife, Judy were married in their LeClaire home on September 21, 1991.
Gary was employed as a custodian with the Bettendorf School System, recently retiring after over 29 years of faithful service.
Fishing was at the top of Gary’s favorite activities, followed by working in his yard and mushroom hunting in the spring. Above all else, his family was the special joy in his life.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Judy; his daughter, Nicol Shewmake of LeClaire; his sons, Corey Huettman & his wife, Tammy of Des Moines, Iowa, David Huettman of LeClaire and Richard Shewmake of East Moline, Illinois; his grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Douglas, Nicole, Melanie, Ethan, Kaylee, Katelyn, Kathryn & Kiara; and his brothers & sisters-in-law, Packy & Joann Huettman and Dan & Deborah Huettman, all of LeClaire.
Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Morris; and by his parents.
