Gayla J. Smith, 58, a resident or Davenport, Iowa died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Gayla was born on April 10, 1954 in Edgerton, Wisconsin the daughter of Del D. and Esther L. (Jaschek) Harrison. She was united in marriage to Bruce G. Smith on June 11, 1981 in Rock Island, Illinois.
She was a member of the Transplant Support Group, Miami, Florida and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport.
She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and also her best friend, her golden retriever, Estee.
Those left to honor her memory include her parents, Del and Esther Harrison, Long Grove, Iowa; her sister, Judy (Phil) Specht, Davenport; her brother, Gregg Harrison, Houston, Texas; her six nieces and nephews; her two great-nieces and her dog, Estee.
