Geoffrey C. Weigand

Geoffrey C. Weigand, 54, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City following a sudden illness.
A Celebration of his life will begin at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2005 at Northgate Place, 1823 E. Kimberly Rd. in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born in Rock Island, Illinois on July 15, 1951, the son of Harry & Rosemary (Moore) Weigand and was a graduate of Bettendorf High School. On January 23, 1981, he was united in marriage to Lynn A. Guechel at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf.
Geoff was employed in sales by the ACRI Company for many years.
He was an avid duck hunter, loved to play golf and truly enjoyed life, living it to the fullest. He was a loving husband, dad & grandpa and even though he will be sadly missed, he will always be fondly remembered by those who knew & loved him.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Lynn; his daughter, Genna Weigand of Davenport; his son, Casey Weigand of Davenport; his grandchildren, Hailey & Hannah; his mother, Rosemary Weigand of San Francisco, California; his sisters, Gayla Caplin in Pennsylvania and Heather Weigand in California; and his brother, Bradley in California.
He was preceded in death by his father and by his brother, Todd Weigand.
