Georgia R. Denny, 66, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at her home.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on March 17, 1950 in Davenport, Georgia was the daughter of Joseph and Darlene (Randolph) Anderson. On November 16, 1968 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport, she married Richard Denny.
Georgia was the family matriarch, cherishing her time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, BINGO, and collecting her Isabel Blooms.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard; daughter, Michelle (Jason) Snell of Davenport; son, Richard (fiancé, Ashley White) of Walcott; grandchildren, Mikaila (Chance) Johnson, Kari Snell, Logan Snell and Lillyanna Denny; and a great-granddaughter, Marleigh Johnson; and her best friends, Colleen Berner and Claudia Hillyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
