Gerald A. Davidson

Gerald A. Davidson, 68, a resident of Colona, Illinois, died September 4, 2007 at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, September 7, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Friday. Burial with military honors conducted by the Moline American Legion Post 246 will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Gerald was born April 16, 1939 in Ava, Missouri, the son of Wesley & Beatrice (Turner) Davidson. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1964. Gerald retired in 1986 after several years of employment as a truck driver for the Amoco Oil Company.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Tracy Davidson, of Viola, Illinois and Leah Walters of Dubuque, Iowa; his sons, Steve Davidson, of Bettendorf and Jerry Davidson and his wife, Pam, of Colona; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Beryl.
