Geraldine Elizabeth Blake

Geraldine Elizabeth Blake, 78, a resident of Davenport died Friday, November 07, 2008 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facilities, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of the service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Geraldine was born July 29, 1930 in Taft, Florida the daughter of William Archibald and Jimmie Irene (Avera) Whitten. She was united in marriage to Henry Joseph Blake on October 18, 1949 in Jefferson, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2000.
Geraldine was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Mickey Jo (David) Campbell of Park City, Montana; her son, Henry Joseph (Beverly) Blake III of Davenport and her grandson Kevin Joseph Blake of Davenport, currently stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia as a member of the United States Army.
In addition to her husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Loretta Mae Simmer, Myrtle Robinson and Lillian Lankford, her brother, Bill Whitten and her parents.
