Glenn L. Strand

Glenn L. Strand, 48, of Davenport, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M., Monday, May 14, 2007 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour before the services on Monday. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Healing Garden of the University of Iowa.
Glenn was born February 22, 1959 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, the son of Donald A. & Lillian M. (Morrison) Strand. He worked as a metal fabricator in Waukegan, Illinois. He enjoyed woodworking, bicycling and the arts. Glenn was also a dignified member of Alcoholics Anonymous with a proud sobriety of 11 years.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Heather Dutton, and her companion, Brian Vaught, both of Davenport; his grandchildren, Madison & Zachary; his sister and brother-in-law, Arlene & Wayne Benson, of McHenry, Illinois; and his nephew, Harold Benson of Beecher, Illinois.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Terrence and Daryl Strand; and several other relatives.
