Gloria R. Evrard-Hoffmann, 62, of Bettendorf, died on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Trinity Pathway Hospice at Terrace Park after a short bout with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club of the Quad-Cities.
Gloria was born October 3, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall & Emmamae (Ball) Nielsen. She was united in marriage to Bill Evrard in 1965. He preceded her in death in 1973. She was later united in marriage to Gary Hoffmann on January 24, 1998 in Bettendorf.
Gloria had been employed as a sales representative for AT&T for fifteen years. She had also done freelance photography and writing in her spare time.
She was a graduate of Marycrest University in Davenport, and she enjoyed gardening, working at her computer, taking weekend trips, and spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gary; her daughters and sons-in-law, Shelley & Jeff Greene, of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kristin & Steve Harincar, of Victoria, Minnesota, Tara & Mat Youngers, of Long Grove, Iowa; and Robin Hoffmann, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her grandchildren, Melanie Harincar, Madelyn Youngers, and Lauryn Youngers; and her sister and brother-in-law, Janis & Ron York, of Harrisburg, Illinois.
In addition to her first husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Linda Cordes.
