Grace Dennhardt

Funeral Services for Grace J. Dennhardt, 99, of Davenport, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Prairie Union Cemetery in Low Moor, Iowa.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, where she had been a member.  Grace passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Davenport Lutheran Home.

Grace was born September 6, 1917 in Camanche, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick W. & Gladys M. (Space) Brandt.  She was united in marriage to Alvin F. Dennhardt on June 17, 1936 in Davenport.  He preceded her in death on July 22, 1992.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Gladys (Harold) Housley of Walnut Creek, California and Sherry (Dennis) Burmeister of Davenport; her sons, Frederick (Betty) Dennhardt and David Dennhardt, both of Davenport; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Genora Jones of New Virginia, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, Alvin; Grace was preceded in death by her son, Robert and eleven brothers and sisters.
