Gwendolyn F. Lagrone

Gwendolyn F. Lagrone, 71, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died at her home on Tuesday, March 2, 2005 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Central Church of Christ, Davenport where she was a member.
She was born November 11, 1933 in Davenport, the beloved daughter of Elmer & Eloise (Hendricksen) Steffen. On November 29, 1952, she was united in marriage to David O. Lagrone in Davenport.
Gwendolyn was a loving & devoted wife, mother & grandma. She enjoyed camping with her family, loved to collect cookbooks and spent many enjoyable hours in her yard & garden.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, David; her daughters, Michelle Lind of Rotonda West, Florida and Janene Shannon & her husband, Rick of Lost Nation, Iowa; her sons, Lannie Lagrone & his wife, Christy of Blue Grass, Iowa and Craig Lagrone & his wife, Denise of Rockford, Illinois; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
