Harlo Henningsen, 54, of Bettendorf, died suddenly on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Trinity Unity Point in Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
Harlo was born January 19, 1959 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Henry & Katie (Petersen) Henningsen and had grown up in Clinton County. He was united in marriage to Julie Determann in Camanche, Iowa in 1985.
Harlo was employed for over 35 years as a professional truck driver. He had also briefly been employed as a millwright. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Jamie Henningsen of Davenport; his sons, Jens Henningsen and Harris Henningsen of Bettendorf; his granddaughter, Anika; his father, Henry, of DeWitt, Iowa; his brother, Birger (Janae) Henningsen of Elvira, Iowa; his nieces and nephews, Keinah, Brenon and Evanny; and his great-niece, Claire
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie and his sister, Iris Hansen.
