Harry S. P. Lauritsen, 101, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 3, 2005 at theMcGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness’s, Bettendorf where he was a member.
Harry was born April 6, 1903 in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, the son of John A. & Emelie F. (Andersen) Lauritsen. He had worked since the age of twelve with his family in their truck gardener in Pleasant Valley.
Those left to honor his memory include his brother, William Lauritsen of Bettendorf; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces & great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George Lauritsen and his sisters, Agatha Dengler & Agnes Saling.
