Hazel Beatrice “Bea” Coffman, 91, a resident of Bettendorf, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the Beatrice Coffman Memorial fund in care of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Born on May 4, 1923 in Lancaster, Missouri, Bea was the daughter of Durward and Florence (Pyrtle) Lehr. She married Max N. Coffman. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2009.
Bea was a homemaker. She and Max enjoyed many winters as snowbirds in Texas. Bea was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church for over 60 years and enjoyed blue grass music and attending blue grass festivals.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Larry Coffman of Bettendorf; granddaughter, Jenifer (Tom) Vlajkov of Chicago; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Parker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Gary.
