Hazel B. Newman, 96, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Monday, December 05, 2011 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
Private visitation for the family will be held at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf. A private burial service will be held at Oakdale Memorial Gardens of Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Christian Church.
Hazel was born on June 7, 1915 in Kime, Missouri, the daughter of William Jefferson & Minnie (Huggins) Fox. She was employed for 44 years as a cashier at Miss Hulling’s Cafeteria in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Hazel will be remembered as a loving and caring mother.
Those left to honor her memory are her daughter & son-in-law, Janice & John Kaddatz of Bettendorf; her sister, Gladys Diley of St. Louis, Missouri; and Gladys’ daughters, Nancy, Jeanne & Sharon.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
