Helen E. Anderson, 93, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. Visitation for Helen will be on Friday, February 17 th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Helen was born on March 24, 1918, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Frances (Martens) Miller. She married Lyle Anderson. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Helen and her husband owned and operated Anderson’s Greenhouse in Bettendorf for many years. She had a love for gardening and flowers.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Buddy Anderson of Bettendorf; two granddaughters, Tracy (Thomas) Anderson-Waterman of Orion, IL and Darcy Anderson of Bettendorf; and six great-grandchildren, Tryca, Tygan, Daycara, Talye, Lochlyn, and Thomas II.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; one brother; and her daughter-in-law, Betty.
