Helen K. Davis, 95, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Manor Care Utica Ridge in Davenport, Iowa.
Private family services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad-City Animal Welfare Center of Milan, Illinois. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born January 10, 1918 in Melcher, Iowa, the daughter of Charles & Frances (White) Norris.
In earlier years, Helen was employed as a bank teller in East Moline, Illinois.
She & her late husband, James enjoyed traveling. Helen also took great pleasure in her garden.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Marsha (Ernest) Fox of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Peggy (Mike) Pannell of Moline, Illinois, Jennifer (Tom) Cassidy of Silvis, Illinois, Crystal (Randy) Buzard of Moline and Stephanie (Jayme) Loesch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Potter of Dubuque, Iowa; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Lovelace of Moline; and her beloved cat, “Angel.”
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Davis; her son, Richard Lovelace; and 2 brothers.
