Helen C. (Scobey) Harvey, 84, of Moline, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 3, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Helen was born August 9, 1932 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Norman & Mildred (Alfred) Scobey. She was united in marriage to William “Henry” Harvey on April 4, 1953 in Fulton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2017.
A caring person towards others, she willfully donated funds to various charities over the years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Ellen Graham of Davenport, Iowa, Mary Etzel of Rock Island, Illinois and Vicky Armstrong of New Salem, Illinois; her son, Robert Harvey of Moline; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Joy Burmeister of Clinton.
In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by parents; her son, William R. Harvey; and her sisters, Mildred, Cora and Norma.
