Helen Swanwick

Helen J. Swanwick, 83, a resident of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Davenport Good Samaritan Society.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday. Memorials may be made to the family.
Born on July 12, 1930, she was the daughter of Maynard Samuel and Alberta (Ward) Rice. Helen married Douglas L. “Sonny” Swanwick in 1951. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1994.
Helen worked as a housekeeper for the Twin Bridges Motel in Bettendorf. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed going to CASI.
Survivors include her sister, Effie Seibers of East Moline and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
