Helen White

Memorial services for Helen Joyce White, 63, of Davenport, will be  12:00 pm (noon) on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 11:00 am to service time at the funeral home.  

Helen passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing. 

Helen Joyce Norment was born on January 1, 1961, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Emerson and Geneva (Turner) Norment. She worked as a Nurse and Caregiver for several Quad City area nursing homes for 20 years, retiring in 2004. Helen enjoyed spending time with, and cooking for, family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Dominique Norment, Dominick Auston, Brittany Auston, Joseph Auston, Paul Auston, Leroy Auston, Leatta Auston, siblings, Ellen (Michael) Sailes, Calvin Norment, Brian (Brenda) Norment, Michael (Lisa) Norment, Erskine (Dorothy) Norment, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tanya Auston, siblings, Vincent Norment, Ronald Norment, Collette Norment, Renee Norment, and Kevin Norment.
