H. Ray McDannell, 55, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4800 Kennedy Drive, East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ray was born on January 12, 1949 in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Sam & Waysil (Geist) McDannell. He married Chris Woolverton on May 12, 1991 in Manti, Utah. Ray was a photographer and he and Chris, also a photographer, started Creative Memories Photography shortly after they were married. He had also worked for Camera Corner in Davenport. Photography was his passion as a profession and as a hobby. He also enjoyed restoring cars and boating on the Mississippi.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Chris, his son, Christopher McDannell of Arizona, his daughter, Kelly Cocagne of Calilfornia, his brother Charles, of Missouri, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carl.
