Inez M. Schaub

      Inez M. Schaub, 95, of Bettendorf passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at The Vistas of Bettendorf. 

      Per her wishes, there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

      Inez was born January 7, 1929 in Bowling Township, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Myrtle (McAnally) Frank. On September 4, 1954 she was united in marriage to George Schaub in Moline, Illinois. Inez worked as a bookkeeper for Duffy Paper Co. in Rock Island, and later at Moline Heating & Construction until her retirement in 1993. She was an avid supporter of PBS and found great joy in reading her Bible. She enjoyed playing video games, especially when she was beating her grandchildren at Yoshi’s Cookies!  

      Those left to honor her memory are her children, G. John (Catherine) Schaub III of Eldridge, Kathleen Palmer of Moline, and Frank (Anisa) Schaub of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. 

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Tracy Goodknight; son-in-law, Gary Palmer; and eight siblings.
