Irene Fadiga, 86, of Blue Grass, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
Her visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo. Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Irene was born September 10, 1928 in Davenport, the daughter of Albert & Hilda (Clark) Schroeder. She was united in marriage to Joe M. Fadiga on June 15, 1957 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1995.
Irene enjoyed the company of animals, gardening and horseback riding.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jane & Roland Wenger of Wheatland, Iowa, Julie Fadiga of Blue Grass and Shelly & Dwaine Keltner of Davenport; her son and daughter-in-law, Steven & Kim Fadiga of Blue Grass; a special family friend, Joe Inchein of Blue Grass; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Charles Lee Fadiga and Edward John Lubeck; and her sister, Janice Ratajczek.
