Ivan D. DeLay, 76, a resident of Crane, Missouri and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa died Saturday, September 6, 2003 at his home.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
He was born November 22, 1926 in Grand Mound, Iowa, the son of John & Olive DeLay. He married Bernadine E. Smith in Jamestown, North Dakota on May 25, 1947. She preceded him in death on May 4, 1999. He & his wife, Linda were married in Ozark, Missouri on September 11, 2001.
Ivan was employed as a tool & dye maker for Swan Engineering in Bettendorf, retiring in 1991.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Linda; his daughters, Nina Carlson of Buchanan, Michigan, Jackie Cook of Springfield, Missouri, Pam DeLay of Bedford, Texas and Valerie Stroman of Hughes Springs, Texas; his son, Larry DeLay of DeWitt, Iowa; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his brother, Jim DeLay of Sheridan, Illinois.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers & his parents.
