Jackie “Jerry” Holder, 81, a resident of LeClaire, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Trinity Bettendorf.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the donor’s choice. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 6, 1933 in Lineville, Iowa, Jerry was the son of James M. and Lula (Marcengill) Holder. He married Linda Lawyer in Princeton, Missouri.
Jerry served his country in the United States Air Force for six years. He worked for 30 years at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline. Jerry enjoyed vacationing in South Padre Island and Corpus Christi, Texas.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Linda; daughters, Marty (Rob Gray) Holder of LeClaire and Tracey (Kyle) Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Zachary, Jordan and Kalie Thompson and Karlee Gray.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joy Dykes.
