James Robert Ferguson, 64, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend his service should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf at 9:30 A.M. Monday. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
He was born in Davenport on September 14, 1946, the son of Robert E. & Ruth Elaine (Mentink) Ferguson and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Davenport.
James served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Conflict and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1967.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Pilar Marie Ferguson of Miltitas, California; his former wife, Eva Ferguson of Miltitas; and his sister, Holly Engelken of Morrison, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
