James A. Hamilton, 83, of Princeton, Iowa, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on Monday, August 14, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Friday.  Burial with military honors provided by the LeClaire American Legion Buffalo Bill Post 347 will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Cemetery, of which Jim was President, or to the family, to be distributed amongst favorite charities.
