James L. Lambert, 75, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at River of Life Church, 4855 Forest Grove Road in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to River of Life Church.

Jim was born January 18, 1938 in Milesburg, Pennsylvania, the son of John & Margaret (Murhead) Lambert. He entered the United States Marine Corps in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Jim was united in marriage to Marikay “Mickie” Dunn on May 4, 1978 in Davenport.
Jim had been employed with Olympic Steel, Rogers Mobile Wash and the former Tully Ladder Co., though he took great pride in being a substance abuse counselor for several years.
He will be remembered as a beloved family man.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mickie; his daughters, Debra Jean Lambert of Oregon, Kelli Raeanne (Brian) Pekios of Davenport, Spring Heather Lambert of Bettendorf and Kelly Leanne Allen of Oregon; his sons, Michael Robert Lambert, Shawn Patrick Lambert, James Leonard (Nancy) Lambert Jr. and Mark Alan Lambert, all of Oregon; twenty-three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his dog, Max.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, and his son Geoff E. Lambert on September 5, 1986.
