James Richard Lee

James Richard Lee, 39, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Rock Church, 4730 Tremont Ave. in Davenport. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born July 15, 1967 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. James was employed with Travis Construction of Davenport.
He had a passion for the culinary arts and loved to cook for his family and friends. He played the guitar, sang and played the piano as well. His other hobbies included martial arts and walking with the Lord.
He was a member of the Rock Church in Davenport, Iowa and sang in the choir. Jim dearly loved his family and was a good friend to many.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters, Chasity Gipe of Milan, Illinois and Mary Flake of Davenport; his sons, Dustan Gipe of Milan, James Lee Jr. of Davenport and Matthew Aimone of Davenport; his mother & step-father, Judy & Jim Thomas of Davenport; his father, Noel Lee of New Holland, Illinois; his sisters, Robin (Greg) Saklar of LeClaire, Iowa and Debbie (Daron) VanZuiden of Bettendorf; his grandparents, Richard & Isabelle Lee of Mentor, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
