Jayne Slusher

Jayne A. Slusher, 83, of Bettendorf, passed away on Sunday, December 5,2021 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family. Per here wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and private family graveside services will be on Friday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.

Jayne   Alice Slusher (Atkinson) was born on October 22,1938 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Carter and Thelma “Jerry” (DeMoney) Atkinson. She retired from Vera French MHC, having worked there for 14 years. One of her hobbies after retirement was selling hidden treasures at County Fair. She also enjoyed playing at the casino, reading, and walking the mall.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ken of Bettendorf, son; Steve (Carla) Larimer and their children, David, Allison and Carter, her daughter, Julie Early and her children, Connor and Courtney and a son-in-law, John Hanson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Jennifer Hansen and a brother, Don Atkinson.
