Jeanette Elizabeth Garlough, 86, a resident of Aledo, Illinois died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Aledo Health Care Center, Aledo.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Those wishing to attend will gather at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa at 9:30 A.M. Friday.
Jeanette was born July 9, 1924 in DeWitt, Iowa the daughter of Moody and Hattie (Moore) Martin. She was united in marriage to Robert John Garlough Sr. on October 19, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1985.
She enjoyed collecting, photo albums, clowns and loved being with her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Robert (Gracia) Garlough Jr., Santee, California, William (Patricia) Garlough, Pahrump, Nevada and Jay (Ruth) Garlough, Aledo; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Gertrude.
