Jeanne Eileen Krambeck, 55, a resident of Urbandale, Iowa and formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa died Friday, August 15, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa following an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Rev. Pat Halverson, pastor of Our Savior Presbyterian Church will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Mess, Mark Mess, David Weber, Daniel Weber, Samuel Frushour and Daniel Marble. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Presbyterian Church, LeClaire, Iowa where she was a member.
She was born August 27, 1947 in Davenport, the daughter of Ernest & Marjorie (Hamann) Mess. She was a graduate of Bettendorf High School and the University of Northern Iowa. On June 25, 1971, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Krambeck in Bettendorf.
Jeanne was an elementary school teacher and also a devoted homemaker, wife & mother. She volunteered countless hours in 4-H activities, church functions, the Girl Scouts and the Compass Club.
Among the things she enjoyed were traveling, spending time in the outdoors and working in the garden. Jeanne was a very giving & caring person and was always ready to help where help was needed. Her family, more than anything else, was the special joy in her life and she will always be fondly remembered by those who knew & loved her.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Charles; her daughters & sons-in-law, Krenda & Samuel Frushour of Cincinnati, Ohio and Katina Krambeck & Daniel Marble of Livonia, Michigan; her mother & step-father, Marjorie & John Ven Horst of Bettendorf; her brother & sister-in-law, Elmer Mess & Maria Moeller-Mess of Davenport, Iowa; her sisters & brothers-in-law, Joanne & Vernon Fahrenkrog of Eldridge, Iowa and Jane & Gary Weber of Bettendorf; and many other beloved family members & friends.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Mess; and her sister-in-law, Sonja Mess.
