Jeffrey Joseph Kirby, Jr., 31, a resident of LeClaire, died Monday, March 20, 2017 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, as the result of an automobile accident.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Born on April 20, 1985 in Iowa City, Iowa, Jeff was the son of Jeffrey Alan, Sr. and Paula (Curtis) Kirby. On September 26, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Mallary Owens. A formal reception for their marriage was held in Princeton, Iowa.
Jeff was a 2003 graduate of North Scott High School. He worked for Quad City Testing Lab as a crane technician for 12 years. Jeff enjoyed ice fishing, boating, working on cars with his dad and brothers, going for drives, and dirt track racing. He was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, New York Giants and Wisconsin Badgers. Jeff cherished his time spent with family, and playing with his nephews.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mallary; parents, Jeff Kirby, Sr. of Princeton and Paula (Jeff Edwards) Curtis of LeClaire; brothers, Christopher (Lindsey Luckritz) Kirby of Park View and Kyle (Jessica) Kirby of Princeton; nephews, Korbin and Jaxen; grandparents, Richard (Elora) Kirby of Phoenix, Arizona, Janet Dinter of Davenport and Pat Curtis of Princeton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry Curtis and Dennis Dinter.
