Jeffrey L. Ruby

Jeffrey Lynn Ruby, 49, a resident of Milan, Illinois died on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Forest Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in East Moline, Illinois following an extended illness.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Private family interment services will be held Monday at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Forest Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Davenport, Iowa, the son of James David & Wilma Mae (Koenig) Ruby and was a graduate of Davenport Central High School.
Jeff enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family & friends and playing videos on his Play Station.
Those left to honor his memory include his brother, James David (Nancy) Ruby II of San Diego, California; his sister, Kathy (Mark) Weddum of Davenport; his nephew, James David Ruby III of San Diego; his niece, Molly Jo Ruby of Orlando, Florida & her fiancé, Alex Cerrone; and his special friends, Doug Short, Buddy Short & Rose Bundy.
Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Ruby and by his parents.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Forest Hill for their compassionate and loving care shown to Jeff during his illness.
