Jerald Dickson

Jerald “Jerry” M. Dickson, 72, of East Moline, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., with a one-hour visitation prior to the service at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. As per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. A private burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jerry was born October 27, 1943, in Davenport, to Martin and Roma (Joens) Dickson.
Jerry was a farmer for many years in Iowa. He then worked at Oscar Mayer/Kraft for 31 years, retiring in 2001. On October 27, 2009, he married Yvonne Jared in Nashua, Iowa. Jerry was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities. He enjoyed camping, boating and NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne; mother, Roma Dickson of Davenport; brother, Tom Dickson of East Moline; daughters, Michelle Dickson of Bettendorf, and Jodi Malmgren (Richard) of Fargo, North Dakota; step-daughter, Renee Lane-Wexell of Knoxville, Tennessee; step-son, Robert Lane II (Jodi) of Toms River, New Jersey; step-daughter, Robin Lane of Moline; step-children, Gary Dodds (Julie) of Newton, Iowa and Randy Dodds (Linda) of Port Byron, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father and sister.
